You can find it on the main page:Lionheart Filmworks
This is my friend Kevin's first feature. We have been passing screenplays back and forth over the years and his movie just recently got picked up for distribution after hitting the U.S Film Fest Circut. It's coming to Blockbuster/Hollywood Video in November.

Hey there.
To be honest this kind of movie is not my cup of tea. But saying that I was very impressed by the whole scale of the project. It looks like a pro tv movie as apose to a hollywood feature. But I have seen some great tv movies. Knowing the backgroud I guess I would watch the flick and be intrested in what those guys do next.
What was the budget of that flick?
Despin out.

Hi,
The budget was $500,000 US. At least that what he told me. Not exactly the $0 budgets I use for my films. He saved a lot of money by hiring reenactors for the entire shoot, so he didn't need costume designers or a property master. I've seen the movie and it's like Saving Private Ryan meets David Lynch. Lynch is really into music and images and the first ten minutes of the movie has no dialog, just music and images of the soldiers going to war.
I agree w/ you Despin that normally this movie isn't what I would watch eitheir. But because I do action/thriller shorts and he does historical shorts it is always interesting to see what someone outside of the genre thinks of you're story idea. For instance if you gave the premise of that screenplay you worked on to someone who normally does comedy and they love it, then you have a real winner . Thanks for watching.

The trailer looked really good. Since it was only images I don't have much of a clue about the story, but I can say I do ever hope to make a big project like that. I mean, that's a big project.

That looks excellent. It doesn't look like guerilla film-making though. The production values are VERY high and some of the photography is stunning. Thanks for sharing it though - as Despin said it's good to see someone join here that is actually out there making stuff (and very good stuff too!)

i wouldnt say I found it that interesting and just having music throughout the whole thing sort of made it difficult to know what the story is about. but on a technical side it does look very well produced, very professional.
But being honest in terms of selling the film I wouldnt say it's a great trailer cause it doesnt tell me what the films about or give me a reason to see the full thing sorry to end on a negative note.

No problem, it's not my trailer
The reason why I asked this in the first place is I was curious if an international community would catch on that this is a American Civil War movie, from two different perspectives.
I've seen the full film, kinda has a David Lynch quality to it. He uses just music for the first ten minutes, just like you saw in the trailer.
Problem is, you need the prior knowledge of whats going and what the situation is and it seems they might run into problems with international sales.
Thanks for watching and thanks for you're honesty.
Later,
Paul

Looks sweet. Cinematography reminds me of "Legends of the Fall". A half a million dollars US eh? Seems like he stretched it pretty far. Impressive.
